Educational History

2012 I graduated from the IB Diploma with a score of 44/45, putting me in the top 1% globally. I scored the maximum grade of 7/7 in each of my Higher Level subjects (English, History, and Theatre) as well as the top grades in the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge.2016 I graduated from the University of London with a first class BA in Philosophy and English Literature

My Approach to Tutoring

I am a highly literate Philosophy and Literature graduate, experienced in working with IB Diploma students across all essay-based arts, literature, and humanities subjects.My approach is simple: I develop a practice of rigorous and wide-reaching conversation with my students around the key concerns of their studies. These conversations develop their curiosity and hunger for the subject, whilst teaching how to think critically and independently. From here, it is a short task to cover the relevant exam techniques necessary to be able to demonstrate this critical thinking ability and consequently excel in an assessment context.I have developed my approach over a decade of one-to-one tutoring in the IB Diploma, consistently supporting students to exceed their predicted grades.I can also coach students to prepare for Oxbridge interviews, write personal statements, and consider university choices.
